Post production post- CCR

Welcome back! I mentioned in the previous blog post how I was going to talk about some obstacles and issues that occurred when creating both of my CCR's Let's Go!

CCR 1 Obstacles

I would say the main obstacle for this CCR was trying not to feel awkward or make weird eye contact with the camera. In class we watched CCR's that have not been as successful because you could tell they were filming on a certain device, or their eyes were going somewhere else, that is why I tried to memorize everything and try to maintain eye contact. When I first started filming, I felt awkward because I was just talking to myself but then I started using my hands more and I felt better.

CCR 1 Editing

I would say editing this CCR was more challenging than I thought it would be. To be specific, it took me a long time to combine each shot together and make sure the audience did not catch me setting up my phone or putting my hand down and it took me a while to perfect that. What I have learned during this project is that I need to wait a couple of seconds before I start speaking or filming, so it is easier to edit. I also tried to make the scenes shorter. I did this so I could maintain eye contact. I would rather my CCR be a lot of scenes that are shorter, than longer scenes that are bad. Similarly, I had to create fast cuts to try to ensure that my preparation for the lines was not displayed on camera.

CCR 2 Obstacles

Some obstacles that occurred in CCR 2 were just audio issues since I created a presentation with a voice over. The main thing I struggled with was how to say what I wrote down. In other words, I created bullet points of the actual power point so the audience could follow along to what I was saying. So, I can get General idea of some specifics I want to add to the voiceover audio. There was nothing to edit except the length of the sound.

After completing the final steps of this project, this portion of the project (Both CCR 1 & 2) was straightforward due to the preparation that was given to us!
