Production Post-Prop Creation

So, the next production process I would like to highlight in my portfolio project is the use of props. I've decided to dedicate a post to props because it is an essential portion of my film in my film. Let's do this! 

Materials: 

-Blank paper  

-Pen  

Pencil  

-Marker/ Crayons  

- copy machine 

STEP 1 

-Grab a piece of blank printer paper  

 

 

 

STEP 2  

-Trace out/ Measure in pencil what I want to write in a funky font. 

 

 

 

STEP 3 

-Once happy with my rough draft, go over the design with a pen to outline and secure the drawing.  

 

 

 

STEP 4 

• Go over it with colored marker and detail it. 

 

 

 

STEP 5 

• Make a couple of copies of my work. 

Why is this prop so important?  

This prop is extremely essential in my film because it does not only provide background information for the future, but it also adds extra details to my film opening. For example, the little kid handwriting with crayons leads the audience to interpret the young age the story is trying to initiate.
